Local 3999 Community Social Services Workers- Brothers, Sisters and Friends in solidarity across BC
From Trail and Castlegar to Smithers, CUPE 3999 covers hundreds of employees working in Community Social Services. Your Union is hard at work representing your interests across the province, from our Executive board and Unit Chairs, to shop stewards and Members, we all make a difference by standing together.

- Right now CUPE 3999 is looking to members to design a new logo to represent us. Do you have an exciting idea that represents the work we do, the wonderful landscapes that we call home, or the vibrant communities that we support? See the attached flyer and send your logo designs to recsec3999@gmail.com by May 10th, 2025.
- Speak up and share your ideas with your Unit Chair or executive board, they can help with issues and challenges at your worksite, or work on making meaningful improvements

What’s happening?
- The Local is looking for a new logo to show off who we are and what we do, the winning design will be chosen at the Bi-annual general meeting and be used on promotional materials, communications, and more!
- Our Bi-Annual General Meeting is coming up soon. Unit chairs and executive members will be meeting to discuss the Local’s business and do education seminars so they are better prepared to serve.
- Bargaining is in progress for the next collective agreement. Using your feedback, and that of other Community Social Services workers, the bargaining committee is working with employers to get our priorities in the next agreement
Did you know… CUPE BC represents over 100,000 members across the province in many different sectors and industries including 3,000 employees in Community Social Services, that’s a lot of solidarity!
